TAG

If money time and babysitting were no object, where would you go and who would you go with?

Somewhere where I could spend a lot of money! ha! Umm..I'd probably go somewhere with Mike where we didn't have to worry about too many things and we could go fishing and horseback riding and swimming and cliff jumping. And the water would have to be warm..(I'm kind of making this place up! ;))

When was the last time you cried?

Oh dear! I'm lame! The last time I remember crying is a few weeks ago when we were watching this movie that was all about kids and babies and that made me sad 'cause that's kind of a sad subject for us right now but you'd have to ask Mike...I'm sure I've cried since then...I'm a baby! I just like to block it out! ;)

5 favorite memories

1. The whole dating experience w/ Mike. The first couple of times we hung out are two of the best memories though. The first one, I gave him a ride home from Thatcher and we talked the whole way there and the whole way back. It was so much fun but then I was sad 'cause I thought I'd never get the chance to talk to him like that again. The next time was after we'd both been home in Eagar for the summer and we did just about everything there was to do in RV and then sat out on his trampoline and talked 'til like 5 in the morning. (Which I have since learned isn't too unusual for Mike but I thought it was just the coolest thing!)

2. Sharing a room with Celina and staying up late talking all the time...it's usually a good time hanging out w/ Sal! I think that's when I feel most like myself.

3. Hanging out w/ Heidi ALL THE TIME! I can't even begin to name all the good times! I'm so glad I was blessed w/ her for a friend!

4. All the times I spent w/ my cousins and siblings and my Grandparents houses and on Lake Powell. We were weird little kids but I think we had a pretty ideal childhood!

5. When Mike proposed. We were both so nervous! I remember I couldn't really see the ring 'cause it was dark but I could see it sparkling a lot 'cause he was shaking so much.

I Tag Ashlee, Ashley, Mel, Emily, Hannah, Aunt Jolene, Melina, Kortney and Velda. Haha! That's forever long! Thaks Jen! That was kinda fun!

Good Company

This post is coming from Mike.
We still haven't been lonely in Cedar. This weekend we got to see Mom, Dad, Ryan, and Tristan. We watched some movies and played some games. It was pretty fun and we were sad to see them go.

Right after they left we were surprised with snow. Because I'm tired of there being only pictures of me on this thing I took a picture of Ash in the snow after church. (Shawshank Redemption style)

Are We Missing Something??

ONE MORE STORY and then I'll be caught up! We were in Provo for about four days altogether and didn't really have anywhere to keep our pup (who still remains nameless btw!) so Mike talked to his uncle who is trying to sell his house in Lehi and he said that even though they weren't living there, they had a big yard with a really big, high fence and we could keep her there.

We didn't worry too much about her getting out 'cause she's pretty shy and we practically have to force her to leave the yard and the fence around the yard was so high that even Mike had to stand on a fire hydrant to see over it. So we left her there and were just going to visit her every day and taking her food and water and she was doing great there w/ lots of room to run around.

However, when we went to pick her up to come home, we couldn't find her ANYWHERE. We ran around the block a few times calling for her and she wasn't anywhere. We were about to start knocking on neighbors doors when I noticed this little tiny sticky note on the fence that said "Your puppy is next door" and it had a little arrow pointing to the house across the street.

So we went over there and this like 10 yr. old kid answered the door and we told him we were there to get our puppy and he just sat there and looked at us and then went and sat down on the couch where she was sleeping. Then after like forever, his dad showed up and we said we were there to get our puppy and he said 'Oh, well she's asleep' and then he just sat there too! Finally his wife came home and we asked them if she was barking or anything and if that's why they went and got her and they said no that she just looked hungry so they took her and fed her and gave her a bath and NAMED HER??? They were really stand offish like they were waiting for us to say 'It's okay, you guys can have her' and kept telling us how starving and thirsty she was like we hadn't been there in weeks.

I was SO mad! We had been there the day before and she had plenty of water and food..even if she didn't they would have had to actually go into the gate (because you can't see through it or over it) and get her and take her to their house. I guess it was nice of them to leave a note and maybe they were really trying to help out but...who does that?? They could have thrown some food over to her if they were really THAT worried about it...

So we were both irritated but whatever...we got her back. Then, we get back home to Cedar City and Mike went to go finish putting together a chain link fence/kennel he was in the middle of putting together for her when we left and it's already set up...in the neighbor's yard! What is w/ people here taking things out of other people's yards?? Is it like this unspoken law of consecration thing??

So that's FINALLY the end of our long story!! We're waiting to go get the fence back until we can get a hold of Nate and see if maybe he gave it to the neighbors when they lived here and they just decided not to take it until now...I hope everyone here's not like this!!!

I went to find Mike just now and this is where I found him...does this look like an unloved puppy to you???

Fun Times in Utah

Usually I feel like I have nothing to post about but surprisingly, I have A LOT to catch up on! I got a new job and I'm SO excited about it!! I'm the new senior clerk at the DI here in Cedar City. Basically, I'm like their administrator/secretary.

As an employee of DI, I'm actually an employee of the humanitarian department of the Church and I got to go tour the Humanitarian Center and the Deseret Industries Manufacturing buildings in Salt Lake City. It was awesome! It was such a testimony builder! It's so amazing to see and think about all the things the Church has going on! I just want to tell everyone to go donate and volunteer and get involved in all this stuff now! It was really neat, I'm so excited about my new job!!

The big chunk of my training was in Provo and we got to stay w/ Mike's sister Emily and her husband Nate for a few days. We had a blast! They were so fun to hang out w/! I'm so glad we got to go see them (And, Emily started a blog!!!! YAY!!!)! It had been a while!

Mike and Nate doing push ups.

I wish I would have taken more pictures from when we were in Provo and from when Cord and Whitney came but...I'm lame!

The Other Wiltbank Fam...

Last week, it was Mike's brother Cord and and his wife, Whitney's spring break and they came to visit us for a few days! We had SO much fun!! It was so sad to see them go! We're glad they came though and that we got to spend some time w/ them!
We went on a few hike/walks so the dogs could get out and run around and we could get some exercise...
It was really cold so Whitney bundled Avery up in the warmest thing she had which happened to be this adorable little bear outfit!! She looked SOO cute!

What's her name?

This is a picture of our new dog. It's a girl and she's part lab. We are getting her tags tomorrow and we haven't thought of a name that is really sticking yet. What should we call her?

Laughter is the Best Medicine

So the other night Mike and I were both in pretty lame moods and mopin' around and then we started talking about this Brian Regan video we had watched on youtube a few days before. We've been fans forever! He's so hilarious! Anyway, we were talkin' about this video and by the end of the night, we were both laughing so hard we were crying! It has two parts and I know it takes a while to load but wait for it because it's definitely worth it!! ! Especially if you're in a bad mood!! :)

Hiking!

Mike was just starting to say how quiet it's starting to feel around here when Matt called and said he wanted to plan a trip to Zion National Park. So he came down for the weekend and we were going to go hike it today but...we partied a little too hard last night and didn't end up waking up 'til extremely late so we just found a mountain closer to town and hiked that!

I pooped out halfway up, I am such a sissy, but they just kept truckin'!

They hiked all the way to the top!! I you can see Mike's orange shirt if you look real close!

Had to stop for a snowball fight!

We found this old chair on the way down...random...
