Congratulations!!!

Brian!! My bro, just graduated with his Master's Degree!! We didn't get to go to the graduation but we were able to go over and have pizza and cake with them! :) It was good to see them and the fam! Congrats Bri!! We're proud of you! We know you've been working really hard! We've also been up to a lot of other activities that I keep forgetting to bring my camera to! Mainly, we want to announce that we're playing frisbee (or some other sport if it comes up) every Thursday night. Usually at MCC around 7:30 or 8 but if you're interested in coming on a Thursday, call or text one of us and we'll let you know exactly what's going on.Other things we've done and I didn't take pictures:
*School clothes shopping/hanging out w/my bros who came to visit
*Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince at midnight
*Coraline with Megan and Becca
*Soccer for Lana's birthday
*Someday soon we're hanging out w/ Cord and Whit!! :)

P.S. I didn't know this was bloggable material until just a few minutes ago but now I do so...more congratulations are in order as we found out last month that my mom is pregnant!! It's quite the shock for everyone! She went to her first appt. last week and everything is looking good. Personally, I'm very excited for her!! I know it's happening for a reason! I think she's been such a great mom the first time, God didn't want to let her stop so he's sending her another little spirit to take care of! :) We're excited to have another member of our family. I'm excited that Mike will be just as much of a brother to this baby as me or any of my other siblings are. I know Brian feels the same way with Mel. It's just exciting!
It seems like life is constantly changing and taking us by surprise but things have never been better!

4th of July

It's always good to see all the family and friends on the fourth. We got do all the standard stuff of the parade, bar-b-ques, fireworks, etc.. We also had a little tie die experiment before going to the parade. It was pretty fun unveiling your creation.

My mom was in charge of the 3rd ward float this year. They decided to build the Statue of Liberty and it was hands down the best. I know Dale Goodman put a lot of work into it, along with a lot of help from others. He is in the bottom right corner walking next to the float.

My favorite part of the fourth was the games. We got to have a couple tennis tournaments and played big games of ultimate frisbee on Friday and Saturday. I'm really sore from it all.

Happy 4th of July!

Lake Roosevelt

This is Tori and I looking out on the view from the yard.

Today was a good day! Jen and Nate invited us to go to Roosevelt with Nate's family. We could only go for a day because of work but we had a blast! Tori hopped in with us and helped make the trip go by so much faster!

Mike surfing

Me surfing
(Not so great but one of the funnest things I've done in a while! That's Mike cheering me on)

Jen surfing, Nate Surfing, Harlee knee boarding for the first time on her own, Trist and some buddies

Tori offered to take a pic of us on the boat and we both immediately refused. Then I remembered how I always whine about how we don't have enough pictures together so here it is!

We had a blast! It was so good to get to see and spend time with everyone! Thanks so much Jen and Nate for havin' us and Tori for being such good company!

Back to Zion

We got an opportunity to go back to hike at Zion's National Park. Last year was so fun we jumped at the opportunity to go back. Click here to read about last year.
This year was of course different. For starters Ash and I went on different hikes.
I went down the Narrows again with M.jay, Nate, Josh, and some of Nate's family and friends. This hike is 17 miles long and gets rougher and better as you go down it. Because of how challenging it was last year I couldn't resist. This time we were much smarter and kept with it the whole way. Last time we finished around 10:30 at night! And this time we got done at 5:30 instead. Here's a couple pics of the group.

Ash went with Emily up Angel's Landing.
I am so proud of them. To be honest I had my doubts about them even doing a hike when we left them alone. But they took on one that was challenging and probably a little scary. They were telling me about this guy in front of them that was so scared of the heights he practically crawled the last part of it.
Here they are at the top. They said they had a blast, and that everyone cheered for that poor guy when he finally made it to up.
One of the other fun things about this time was that we went camping afterward. I love camping and sitting around the fire. It made us stay up so late that we didn't get much sleep. Especially after it started raining and we got woken up by Josh, who was sleeping outside, begging to get in our tent. Well the tent was actually his and he had let us borrow it. But it was kind of funny because there were two people in a 8 man tent, two in a 5 man tent and then Ash, Josh and I crammed in a two person tent. Thanks Nate for setting it up for us and letting us go. It was well worth it!
Check out Ash, she was so tired she just crashed in her chair
