Like I said, Nate and Jen lived real close so we'd walk there almost every day.
The stroller was pretty much Remi's home on the trip and I loved seeing how she'd just kick back in it. Who needs a double stroller? |
We also went to the aquarium that day but our camera was dead so here are a few Mike got on his iPod.
The next day, we took the Dirty Bubble across the island to see a few sights and go on a hike. We got stuck in traffic and ended up having to cut our plans short. I couldn't help but laugh at the conversations that went on when I took this picture.
Mike: Well, if you're going to be stuck in traffic, at least everywhere you look it's beautiful!
Me: Yeah, but think what would happen if there's an earthquake right when we get into the tunnel!
Grant: (singing) A bus! A bus! A bus! A bus! A bus! A bus! A bus!
Remi: Zzzzz...
We did make it on the hike and stopped off at this lookout on the way. It was beautiful! Definitely different from anything I've ever seen in real life!
And once again, Remi was like a magnet for most of the Asian population there! It was crazy how everywhere we went, they just flocked to her!
We finally made it to the hike and went as fast as we could. It was HOT, the hike was uphill and the kids were heavy! Luckily for me, Mike pushed the stroller pretty much the whole way but the only picture makes it look like I actually did some work! :)
Thanks to my friend Kari for recommending it to us! She lives in Hawaii and I've seen her pictures on her blog of her doing this hike alone with her two kids in her double stroller...after having to push for a few seconds so Mike could take a quick break, I'm impressed!
The view and our little picnic at the top was definitely worth it!
We went to the beach when we got home, of course! Poor Rem had had a long day! Notice all the sand in the stroller...it's just common for it to be everywhere! Jen told me her friends with babies told her they would find it in their diapers. Poor Remi got a little taste of that!
Trying to get some of it off before going inside. |
That night, the Nicolls took the kids and we got to go on our first date in...I don't even know how long!
We decided to go have dinner on the beach. Nate let us take his motorcycle thing and just that part was fun in itself! Mike didn't even mind having to wait over 1/2 hour for our table because this is where we got to wait:
Best date ever!...It's going to be hard to top!

It's so fun to see pictures of you here in my home... It really is paradise, isn't it?! :) Glad you liked the hike too- definitely a steep one! And it's true with the sand being everywhere, including diapers and fat rolls of babies! Glad you guys had fun! PS You look gorgeous!
