President Hinckley
As I'm sure most of you have already heard, President Hinckley passed away tonight. What an amazing person and an amazing legacy to leave behind! I don't think I can really say anything that will come close to giving him the credit he deserves but I wanted to pay my respects. Here's a link to a really good article I read: http://www.sltrib.com/ci_8095453?source=rss
Second Chances...
Well, in spite of hearing about my experience w/ Zach, Jen and Nate were nice enough to have the faith in me to let me hang out w/ their boys tonight! We had a great time and I'm proud to say they didn't cry once! Afterward, Brian called and Sal and I went and ate dinner w/ he and Mel. I think Zach's giving me a second chance too 'cause he seemed pretty happy. All I can say is that all of my nephews are studs! Look at these guys!!
Here's Zach wigglin' all over!
P.S. I swear after this, I'll quit using other people's kids for my blog! They're just a lot cuter than us! ;)

Mike's New Pal
So the other day, Brian and Mel went to the temple to do sealings and since I always love hanging out w/ my nieces and nephews, I volunteered to babysit. Mike asked if I'd need any help but I told him I'd be fine and he could do whatever he had planned for the day. He ended up being pretty deep into editing a video and some pictures when they dropped off baby Zachary.
Little Zachy was SO cute!! He was so smiley and wiggly and just adorable! A while after they left, he started to get a tad bit fussy but it was more cute than anything so it wasn't that much of a problem. But then after a while, he was definitely not a happy camper. He didn't want to walk around and bounce around or play any games or drink his bottle or take his passy and he definitely wasn't in the mood to take a nap.
Mike kept trying to give me pointers (think like a baby, etc.) so after a while I decided he should try it and see for himself that Zach definitely wasn't in the mood to hang out...
Here they are hanging out...
Here's Zach letting Mike feed him his bottle...
And here's Zach asleep after Mike had him burped and took him for a few walks around the house...
So so much for my babysitting gig...and for Mike not having to help and getting to do whatever he wanted w/ his day. He really did have a good time though and I like to think Zach's just teasing me. I still think he's a great nephew and will babysit anytime! (Especially if Mike's around! ;)) He's such a good husband! I really appreciate him helping me out!!
Just for comparison, here's a pic. of Zach trying to get away from me :)...what can I say, Mike's just a super cool guy to hang out with...even the babies know it!

Enchanted
So I know this is probably kind of lame but I LOVE this movie! I went and saw it and went to Coldstone (for the fourth time) tonight with my Grandma, my sister and all (well some) of my girl cousins. It was so much fun to hang out with them all and get to talk about the good old days! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it...probably wouldn't want to take your husbands though! ;)
P.S. Thanks so much to Chelsee and Ashlee who helped me get my blog past the embarrassing stages!!

Lame...
K everyone...don't laugh at my blog! I just looked at what I spent hours posting and it's hideous!! Haha! So...don't make fun of me! I'll get the hang of it someday. And if anyone has any tips, let me know 'cause I hate these default blogger templates but I don't really know how to do anything else so...for those of you who know how to make it really cute...help me!!
Christmas, New Years and Other Happenings
So...it's been a while. I have quite a bit to get caught up on. December was really fun! Mike and I decided that to get into the Christmas spirit, we would do a different Christmas activity every night and watch a different Christmas movie every night. We had a great time! Thanks to everyone who came and hung out w/ us!
Polar Express in 3D!
We watched this at the IMAX in the Mills Mall. Anyone who hasn't seen this should definitely do it next year!! It was a ride!!
Adam was absolutely bounding with excitement...
Mike and Kaleb and Ashley's baby Koby
Christmas Cookies with Shelbi and Harlee!
We made Christmas cookies and watched Mickey's Christmas with Mike's sister Jennifer's girls Harlee and Shelbi. It was SO much fun! We love hanging out with them!! Shelbi is such a hard worker! She was still going strong when the rest of us pooped out!
Boat Light Parade at Tempe Town Lake
Apparently they do this every year so we thought we would need to get there especially early to get a good seat since it's a free event. Now we know for next year that you don't need to be early since the boats seriously go like a mile an hour and to sit on the South side of the Lake since that's the side they go down first and if you sit on the North side, you'll be waiting at least an hour!
Temple Lights
Of course Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without going to see the temple lights. We took hot chocolate and cookies Mike's grandma made. Jen, Nicole and Sal all came.

Santa's Theme Park
Our first attempt at Santa's Theme Park we went with Mike's sister Jennifer and her kids...we ended up coming home soaking wet with upturned umbrellas. The second time ended up much better and we got to go with Nate and Jen and Tammy and Brando were also able to come too.
Brando actually paid to see this ;). It was fun to watch Mike! He did great! Way longer than 8 seconds! And his nieces couldn't be prouder! He was a hero coming off that bull! :)
Christmas Eve at Brando's
Christmas Eve is Mike's sister Emily's husband's birthday (haha) so we all went down to Brando's to celebrate. It was great!!

Sedari's Stories I don't think I spelled that right...we listened to some not so familiar Christmas stories at our house one night. They were really funny! Daniel, Laura, Hyrum, Megan, Mary, Julian, Celina, Brian and Mel were all able to cram into our house to listen.
I've decided to learn to knit.
Back to Mesa...
Heid and Jake were the only ones who took advantage of the mistletoe this month...Maybe it was hard to see w/ all the garland.
